English – Key Stage 1

This selection of educational games are designed to help children learn and practice skills that are defined in the National Curriculum for English at Key Stage 1.

Try and find the matching pairs of pictures. Pictures and positions are randomly created each time and a clock show how long it took to complete. Updated November 2018 to display the hidden items for 5 seconds at the start.

You are shown a set of objects and their pictures. All you have to do is match the word to the picture.

A randomly selected word from a list of over 200 is displayed on the screen. Memorise the word and then try and spell the word which will disappear as soon as you start typing. When you have finished your spelling practice click on the revision button to show any words you spelt wrong.

Missing Letter

Can you find which of the 5 letters at the bottom of the screen is the missing letter in the word at the top of the screen? The choice of words are generally 3 and 4 letters long but there are some longer ones for a challenge.
